Hangul Blossom II
2024 FW
The story behind this collection is inspired by a journey into a traditional Korean palace. Inside the palace, flowers from the garden and traditional books with typographic elements are reinterpreted through the spirit, meaning, and formative characteristics of Hangul typography and its construction.
Sick of Love
2019 FW
When many people think of the word ‘love,’ they instinctively imagine the romance of fairytales: passionate, glamorous, and uncomplicated love. The reality, however, may look quite different. The types of love we experience are as varied as the people who feel them, as is the fashion that explores this theme. We drew inspiration from French actress Sophie Marceau in the film La Boum and various artworks based on love stories. Dress silhouettes are inspired by 1980s retro glam dresses, translating this aesthetic into a street demi-couture style.
Surf on the Storm
2019 SS
The theme "Surf on the Storm" tells the story of a female surfer overcoming an ocean windstorm. This iconic woman embodies adventure and independence in her life.
The 19SS collection draws inspiration from the nautical deep-sea underwater world. Motifs are inspired by the uncharted territory of deep-water flora and corals, blending with waves and water movements.
Erté Midnight in Paris
2018 FW
The 2018FW collection is inspired by Russian-born French artist Erté and the movie Midnight in Paris. The story behind this collection revolves around Erté embarking on a time-travel journey between the 1920s and today in Paris. Erté was a major influence in the Art Deco movement, and we drew inspiration from Art Deco motifs, blending floral and feather designs in various scales. The dress silhouettes are inspired by 1920s fashion, translated into a contemporary style.
Le Voyage de Kusama
2018 SS
Le Voyage de Kusama’ tells the story of a journey through Provence, where Yayoi Kusama finds healing and solace in nature and art. The key message of the collection is that meditation through art and travel is a true luxury. Inspired by the multicolored flowers, perfumery, and landscapes of Provence, the collection features floral motifs such as iris blooms and poppies, expressed with painterly floral designs and Yayoi Kusama's playful, iconic dots. The mix of vibrant pinks, raspberry shades, and sky blue evokes a touch of nostalgia.
My Name is Rimma
2017 FW
The collection draws inspiration from two elements: the ‘Great October Revolution’ in Russia and American superhero movies. Military elements and rich textiles from the Russian royal family are key sources of inspiration. The color palette includes military green and burgundy. Traditional camouflage patterns have been reimagined into a contemporary, feminine design called ‘Camoflower.’
This collection navigates the intersection of contrasting themes by blending a rich selection of fabrics with a feminine interpretation of prints. Traditional military masculinity and camouflage patterns have been transformed into contemporary dresses that exude lightness.
Space Pirate
2017 SS
The collection was inspired by the science fiction film The Martian and David Bowie’s song "Space Oddity."
The collection draws inspiration from a journey into the realms of galactic space and the deep sea, capturing the themes of the infinite, the unknown, and the boundless through new exploration.
It explores colors and motifs found in these two mysterious worlds, blending elements of futurism with a marine aesthetic.
The voyage from 'west to east’
2015 SS
The 2015 S/S collection is inspired by the story of a biker embarking on a road trip from west to east.
The collection reflects the various moments the biker encounters during her journey. It draws inspiration from the architectural beauty and cultural language of both Catholic and Islamic traditions. Throughout her voyage, the biker’s outfits merge elements from these two cultures, creating a new harmony of design. The collection aims to express the aesthetics of both cultures by blending the ornamental decorations of Italian Baroque with traditional Islamic patterns and colors.
